With over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, James Hernandez has progressed from entry-level case management and housing specialist roles to executive leadership. His career spans social services, legal services, and community health, offering a well-rounded and generalist approach to his work. James is committed to advancing community development through strategic leadership, mission-driven service, and sustainable housing solutions.

Bea, who holds a MSW, has been with IFCA for 10 years. She provides case management and counseling for homeless families as well as IFCA tenants when needed. Bea’s experience and expertise have been invaluable during the COVID -19 pandemic. She manages the Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP) through IFCA’s partnership with Westchester County. She performs best when faced with clients who are experiencing emotional or psychiatric episodes and is able to bring calm to challenging situations.

Maria DiMaio is the Accounts Receivable Officer at IFCA Housing Network. She has been with IFCA for many years and is an experienced accounting professional. One of her daily functions is payment processing of rent payments and donations. Maria makes daily deposits, record receipts to tenant ledgers, to reconcile bank statements and to prepare financial reports. Maria also provides support in other areas of the finance department and works very closely with the leasing team.

Theresa Centrone is the Accounting Assistant at IFCA Housing Network. She has been with IFCA for over 10 years. Her main duties are in accounts payable and she is a member of IFCA's Finance Team.

From a very young age, Bianca Matos Vilas always knew she wanted to help those less fortunate than herself. She has a degree in Criminal Justice and minored in Psychology. After working in law enforcement, she realized she wanted to serve those in need on the frontline. For the past 4 years IFCA has allowed her to help those in need by being their voice as their Housing Specialist. Bianca works on IFCA’s Emergency Housing Apartment Program (EHAP), providing housing and other services to families transitioning from a shelter to more permanent housing.

Zenaida is the Leasing Administrator for IFCA. She is responsible for overseeing the administration of leases, which includes lease ups and lease renewals. She works with landlords, tenants, and property managers to ensure that all lease agreements are properly executed and that all parties involved are in compliance with the terms of the lease. As part of her role at IFCA, she coordinates with Section 8 (and other rental subsidy organizations) and manages the affordable set asides through IFCA’s contract with the Village of Ossining.

As the Administrative Specialist Liz is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the office. Her work includes supporting the Executive Director, managers, and co-workers through a variety of tasks related to administration, communication, and building maintenance. She plays a pivotal role in collaborating with the maintenance team to make sure IFCA properties are kept up to the standard of quality IFCA is known for.

Lewis joins IFCA to support fulfilling its mission through sound financial direction. Lewis is charged with overseeing the finances of the organization. This includes managing accounting staff, directing leasing staff, reviewing contracts and agreements, effectively managing the audit process, certifying compliance with grant funding and efficient budget management.
Lewis has experience in non-profit from procurement to payables, analysis of financial statements, insurances, minimizing risk, managing staff, reviewing and executing agreements, and creating positive relationships with vendors. Being able to support IFCA’s mission that will benefit an amazing, diverse community is a dream come true.

When Amy retired as a Teacher of the Hearing Impaired, she began working at the thrift store, a charming but tiny space next to our office. The thrift became a popular place for people to donate and to shop and it quickly grew. Recently having relocated to a larger space, the thrift is thriving at 95 Croton Avenue. Amy is a long time resident of the Greater Ossining area and loves being a part of the local community.

Robert Giordano is the Foreman at IFCA Housing Network and has been with IFCA for over 25 years. He knows the buildings inside and out and is well-liked by tenants. His dedication and experience are unmatched.

Marcelo Larrea is a Maintenance Mechanic at IFCA Housing Network. He is the newest member of our maintenance team. Marcelo has over a decade of experience caring for properties in the Westchester area.

Juan Arango is a Mechanic at IFCA Housing Network and has been with IFCA for 5 years. In that time he has worked to increase his skills and to keep the properties in tip-top shape.

Growing up in the Bronx, Britinie has witnessed the housing crisis firsthand. She has a passion for helping others and making a difference within the community. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Lehman College, Britinie uses her knowledge and life experience to ensure everyone she assists feels welcome and respected. She believes society as a whole needs change and wants to be part of that change in affordable housing. She believes that everyone is entitled to safe and quality housing and that it should be affordable for all individuals and families. She has experience working in Residential Treatment Centers and working for Section 8. She looks forward to assisting the Ossining Community while working at IFCA.
