Emergency Housing - Homeless Services
Since its early days running the Job's Refuge shelter in Ossining, to present, IFCA has been steadfast in its commitment to ending homelessness.
Today IFCA provides emergency housing in partnership with Westchester County Department of Social Services and is an active supporter of the the Emergency Shelter Partnership.
The Emergency Assistance Housing Program (EHAP):
IFCA provides emergency housing to approximately 20 families annually, through Westchester County’s Emergency Housing Apartment Program (EHAP). This program is designed to assist families transitioning from homelessness to permanent housing by providing them with an apartment and supportive services while working with them to secure permanent housing.
The Ossining Emergency Shelter Program:
Established in 2016 by IFCA and the Briarcliff, Ossining Ministerial Association the Ossining Emergency Shelter Partnership. Modeled after the highly successful Emergency Shelter Partnership in Mt. Kisco, the shelter seeks to provide a warm place to sleep and meals for our homeless neighbors during the coldest months of the year from November through March.
